Helen grew up in the country with a father who was the local builder and, then she married a cabinet maker who became a builder and therefore, Helen has always been involved in construction, renovation and design.

Helen received her formal qualification in February 2017 as an Interior Designer.

From The Little Room Interiors came to life through Helen’s passion to work with and help to make beautiful and functional spaces for people to live in.

When trying to think of a name for her business, Helen thought it apt to call it after where she has made her workspace in her childhood, family house, which is now her home. As a child, Helen’s father built a lean-to room addition on the back verandah for her big brother to sleep and study in. Helen and the family all grew up with it being referred to as “the little room”.
